I've changed all of the Anonymous global permissions to "No" (then I edited all the forums I created before I knew about it)
So non-registered people (i.e. hackers) cannot see any posts.
HOWEVER, they can still click on the shiny "members" link, and get a list of usernames. More disturbing to me, however, is that I can't figure out how to turn that off.
At least I found how to turn off access to the profiles themselves, but the list of user names is a horrible thing to give to hackers... that's half the battle.

The calendar option is a new addition to fudforum and I do not believe there is an option to hide it from anonymous users.
I'm pretty sure that someone will need to write a patch for it. If you happen to find a way I'd be real interested in hearing how it was done.
