Anybody converted from UBB.x to FUDforum? Our forums are currently hosted by infopop and we'd like to host them ourselves with FUDforum. We're mostly concerned with converting user information. We're willing to scrap existing messages.

No such converter as of yet, if you could provide a datadump that is something I could write in the near future.

This is called lock-in. By letting infopop hosting your forums for you, you're basically at their mercy since you have no control over the base data. So, unless they can provide you the datadump (which I'm certain they will refuse to provide) you're stuck with them forever, unless you decide to start from scratch. Of course it doesn't hurt to ask them.

I have full access to the underlying database at Infopop and was able to extract all the user information I wanted and put in our database for use with FUDforum.
