This is a feature that I sorely miss from vB (unless I've just missed it). I sometimes want to contact someone ASAP and I want to use the private message system in order to catch their attention. As it is now the only way they'll find out is if they check the forum.

Such feature does not exist yet, however a number of people have asked me about and I am considering implementing for the next FUDforum release.
So keep an eye on the changelog, it'll probably make to 2.5.1 release.
