The Formatting Tools use javascript and that still causes some browser compatibility issues under 2.6.0 and 2.6.1 RC1:
  1. with Mozilla 1.4 the lists are always appended and not inserted at the cursor position (as it happens with IE).
  2. with Konqueror 3.1.3 the situation is quite bleak, all markups are appended rather than inserted at cursor position or applied to the selection. The list tools don't work at all. With 2.6.0 the dialog opens, but when clicking the Apply button the dialog just turns white and no markup is inserted. With 2.6.1RC1 the list dialog doesn't even open at all.

I'm aware that Konq does have massive JavaScript problems, but I wonder, whether it's possible to get at least full functionality with Mozilla.

I am using Mozilla FireFox and the insertion of FUDcode via JavaScript works perfectly. I select the text click the button and now the selected text is inside the tag.

In Konqueror 3.2 or even 3.1.94 the JavaScript popups for FUDcode tags work fine as well (I do not see the reported problem).
