I have successfully moved two forums from Yahoo Groups to FUDforum. But today I realised that one feature that we used on Yahoo is not included in FUDforum - a user file upload area.

Possibly this could be enabled by making use of attachments, but a specified file area with a directory listng would be more useful.

Of course I could use a general purpose PHP upload script, but I should like to make use of the FUDforum authentication, so that only trusted logged in users can upload files.

Any tips for implementing this on FUDforum?

Well, you could create a separate forum called "file area" and allow registered users to post files in there. You can then disable people's ability to make replies to each file(s) would be a separate topic.

That sounds an interesting possibility - thanks
