When i run the converter it shows:
Hacking attemptBeginning Conversion Process
Reading phpBB2 config
No Database Selected

There is a DB defined in the config script as well as a DB set up for the forums. any help is appreciated.

Does it say on which line this error occures? The conversion script does not actually output such an error message itself.

Do you have any messages inside your PHP error log file?

Well, in PHP there are 2 settings: error_log and log_errors. If the latter is set to 1 or On, then any PHP errors will be logged to a file identified by error_log ini setting. So you need to enable those settings if they were not already and then check the error log file for any error messages.
