unused tables in database [message #157932]

Hi!

I'm using FUDforum for a long time now.
As we moved to a new server, i looked into the database and found some tables which i like to know what they are for.
These tables are empty and called:
fud23_fl_1
fud23_fl_2
fud23_fl_3
fud23_fl_7
fud23_fl_9
fud23_fl_12
fud23_fl_13
fud23_fl_17
fud23_fl_18
fud23_fl_19
..
fud23_fl_27
fud23_fl_pm

and for the same numbers there is
fud23_tv_xx

Is it safe to delete those fl tables?

And then, there is a table called fud23_ext_block what is this for?

Those tables should be there and are used by the forum's internals. You will note that there is one _fl_ table per forum. If you need more details, grep for them in the "src" directory.

PS: Are you really still on FUDforum 2.3? Why don't you upgrade?

This installation is running since 2002/2003 and was upgraded until now. Wink
