There seems to be a problem with the headers when synchronizing forum posts to mailing List, I get duplicate headers and headers split up in two parts in the ML (the second part therefore appears in as part of the message body).

I tried this on two different installs both Fudforum 3.0.1, but one on Centos 5.5 and the other one on Mandriva Linux 2008.1.
Each time it's a Postfix mailserver, but not the same one.

Here is the raw mail posted from the forum, after it has gone through the ML:

I think the problem is in include/mlist_post.inc, but not sure exactly where...

Right, headers are added by:

1) mail_list_post() in include/mlist_post.inc

AND

2) send_email() in src/iemail.inc.t

Will look at it later...

Not tested, but something like this should fix it.

mlist_post.inc:
@@ -29,7 +29,7 @@
     }

     if (!$multi_part) {
-        $header = "Content-Type: text/plain;\n  charset=\"". $GLOBALS['CHARSET'] ."\"\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n";
+        $header = "MIME-Version: 1.0\nContent-Type: text/plain;\n  charset=\"". $GLOBALS['CHARSET'] ."\"\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n";
     } else {
         $header = "MIME-Version: 1.0\nContent-Type: Multipart/Mixed;\n  boundary=\"$boundry\"\n";
     }

I applied the fix and did a test post from the forum to the ML and the headers look perfect now, no more duplication.
I think you can commit this fix to svn (if you haven't done so already).

Many thanks again, I must say I'm very impressed by your dedication to help users and to bugfix Fudforum!
