I thought I had messed up themes by copying over header.gif (with a same resolution file). Actually, I guess I had just not logged out and in or set my theme as a user.

How do you edit/make themes, and is it safe to overwrite header.gif?

Also, is this forum even still really active? I posted an earlier question in this sub-forum months ago; no one replied.

Hi David, Yes you can over write the header.gif I have done that with my site. Though if you don't do it in the correct path it will get overwritten with the cherub . I'll take a look at my path to verify.

Lately I've seen little activity from the staff here, moderator has a new baby and my bets are he is busy taking care of the new one.

Mainly just myself here giving the advice if/where and when I can.

Thanks; actually I've done that, just hadn't known very soon I might have had to logout to reload some/all of a set theme.
