Okie, here are the 3 screen shots that should help you.

1st screen shot (1.jpg) shows you the link to the User Administration Menu.

2nd screen shot (b.jpg) shows you the user finder, which is what you'll see when you access that menu.

3rd screen shot (c.jpg) shows you the information about a user and I've circled in read the link you need to click assign/remove moderation permissions from a user.

Err.. I think you got the question wrong. I mean editing the user's password or profile, not setting moderation.

Oh, I see...

Currently the admin can do the following things to user's account:
reset password
change account's name
enable/disable coppa
enable/disable email confirmation
Block user from the forum
add/remove custom tags
assign moderation permission.

The user can change his own setting, with the exception of the login name via their profile control pane (profile button).

That is why the admin can 'reset' the user's password, there is no way to retrieve the user's old password since the passwords are stored as MD5 inside the SQL database for security purposes.
The reset feature, will reset the users password by setting it to a random number and will send the user an email which contains their new password.

MD5 passwords are the safest way to go because the password can never be retrived, it can be reset to a new value and remailed of course. And that is what we do.

There should be a function where as the admin/root user i can modify a person's profile/settings/ranking/password, etc. But I don't see that currently in the forum. Juz a little suggestion. Twisted Evil

It is good suggestion, I imagine there are reasons why an admin would want to modify the user's profile.

I'll implement it in the next release.
