I realize that users can subscribe to forums but hear me out.

A feature where all users, by default, are subscribed to a forum would be somewhat useful. Maybe make it a new flag for forums. It would allow for an announcement forum so that users who do not read the board religiously will still be notified of "important" messages.

You can use the forum's built-in mass e-mailer to propogate the trully important messages to your users.

And I do. I just thought it might be nifty to have an automatic feature.
