Description:
Apart from the usage of pathinfo our forums are similiar to the ones here, which means people can select their preferred language as theme.

Once a user chooses to use a particular language and creates a new topic it will generate a notification sent to me. Unfortunately not in my preferred language (english) but in the sender's one (ie. dutch, finnish, romanian...). While I'm able to understand dutch I think I have a very hard time when it comes to finnish or chinese Smile

I think the preformatted text being sent should take the recipient's language in account, not the sender's because the recipient isn't necessarily able to speak the sender's language.

Demonstration:
Create a dummy user with a language theme of your choice selected. Now open a new thread and wait (as admin) for the notification to roll in.

Expected behaviour: I want to receive notifications in my preferred language

Seen this on RC 10 but I think this was present in older 2.x versions too. Maybe a regression?

Known issue, this has been present since version 1 and won't be addressed as it would make e-mail notification process extremely slow and cumbersome.

Hm not very satisfying. I think most people will consider this as a bug. Besides, I saw it working on other forums so it's not impossible in itself but probably depends on the forum's design.

Most other forums are significantly slower too...

This bug' while certainly a genuine problem ONLY and ONLY causes problems on forums where >1 languages in supported within 1 forum and people using different languages cross post. Hardly a common situations. That said, if you can suggest a patch that would address this issue without making drastic speed sacrifices I'll gladly review it.
