Hi there,

I am using Fudforum since quite some time without problem.

Then yesterday I did some manual changes on the msg_1 file, which now I know, I should not have done. The changes which I have done is, I added some spaces between certain words by using a text editor with the replace function. This means I can not trace, which changes exactly have been done, neither undo them.

Now I am facing the situation that the msg_1 file does not match to the fudforummsg table, means that the message length is not as specified in that table, which is causing a complete mixup of forum messages.

In order to fix that again, I should have to undo the changes in msg_1 but unfortunately I have no backup, means no way.

Now I am looking for a way to fix that problem manually.

Can you help??

Thanks in advance and best regards

Michael

You need to determine the change and carefully restore the file to it's original form.
