Hi,

SpamAssassin doesn't like FUDForum's new reply notifications. It complain about a "script in HTML message". Here is the report:

This is a message from the MailScanner E-Mail Virus Protection Service
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The original e-mail message contained potentially dangerous content,
which has been removed for your safety.

The content is dangerous as it is often used to spread viruses or to gain
personal or confidential information from you, such as passwords or credit
card numbers.

If you wish to receive a copy of the original email, please
e-mail helpdesk and include the whole of this message
in your request. Alternatively, you can call them, with
the contents of this message to hand when you call.

At Mon Jun 27 16:33:41 2005 the content filters said:

Note to Help Desk: Look on the MailScanner in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/spool/mail.quarantine/20050627 (message j5RLXcIP031117).

MailScanner thanks transtec Computers for their support

The only possible reason I can see is this line in the HTML part:

<script language="JavaScript" src="lib.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Best regards.

Solution #1:
Don't send HTML reply notifications, plain-text notifications are the ones most likely to arrive at the intended destination.

Solution #2:
Remove the script line as you've already done.

Personally I don't see this as a FUDforum problem, some JS is used for message rendering, so it's not unnecessary and could be removed without repercussions.

Thank you for the quick reply. Just for me to understand this better:

The "lib.js" include is probably not required for mail rendering, so the best solution should be to create a separate header template without this line for mail rendering. If you know of a better solution, please let me know.

Best regards.

It used to be required until latest CVS, where it would be used for e-mail clients relying MSIE browser controls to change .png into .gif. This is no longer done via JS, so I guess the header could be removed.

Try this patch:
