Is it possible to disable the e-mail feature generally? I didn't find an appropriate setting.

Does this mean, that also the Notify me when someone replies to this thread. feature is disabled?

This feature cannot be disabled, the user's may choose to turn it off or on via their profile and have the ability to overwrite it on every post form for a particular message.

OK, no problem!
But, it would be nice to see such a possibility in FUD 2.1 or 2.2.
