I noticed, that if you split a thread, only the first message in the new thread gets the new heading. All the other replies contain the old heading of the original thread.

Example:
Message1: Heading of old Thread
Message2: Re: Heading of old Thread
Message3: Re: Heading of old Thread
Message4: Re: Heading of old Thread

Now, I split the last two postings into a new thread with the heading "Heading of new Thread".

Message1: Heading of new Thread
Message2: Re: Heading of old Thread

Shouldn't it be renamed into a "Re: Heading of new Thread"?

Cannot be done, because what if the person writing a reply provided a new title for their message instead of the default 'Re: subject'.

I will however look into changing the titles of the stock replies to correspond to the new thread name.

Ok, that's clear!

Perhaps something like "Heading of new Thread (was: Heading of current posting)" is reasonable.

That would be too long because the subject/title of each message is restricted to 100 characters, in the even of long subjects the title would get curoff resulting in even more confusion.

Ok, it doesn't matter, anyway!
Thanks, Mike
