Here is the error message I'm getting:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /home/www/wf_net_html/forums/install.php on line 60

host = 127.0.0.1
database = wfnet_forums
FUDforum SQL Table Prefix = fud21_

Can anyone help me with what might be my problem?

It would appear that your install of php doesn't have mysql support...
Are you sure that it does?

Your PHP is not compiled with MySQL support or does not have it enabled.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! They were quite helpful. It turns out that everything was installed properly but my administrator didn't restart Apache after installing php-mysql earlier hence things didn't work. =) I have a beautiful, working forum now thanks to you guys!
