Is this really needed for searching? It's really annoying when trying to add someone with the group manager, or searching for their nick in the user manager. If I have the name "Espion" registered then no one can register "espioN", so I don't really see the point in having it...

Case insensitive searches typically make searches either slow or not accurate.

Not as slow as having to search of the correct capitalization of usernames, or as inaccurate as getting 0 results when searching for "espion"

Hehe yeah, user searches are hard, especially if a user is called BatMaNFouRTyFoUR.
It's also a bit confusing for newcomers who type in their password 10 times because they don't know their login username is case sensitive, or when they try to PM someone called the above batman name hehe.
